Great for people who deal with wrist/thumb pain… – Great for people who deal with wrist/thumb pain. After many years working in an office setting, my wrist and thumb would often hurt when using your typical mouse. After using this mouse for a while, my wrist and thumb pain have decreased alot.

Hand pain is gone! – I developed a pain on the top of my hand between the first and 2nd fingers earlier this year and thought it was arthritis, but nope.. it was fatigue from Apple’s magic trackpad. The Magic Mouse was better, but I could foresee pain in my wrist on the horizon from moving the mouse around constantly, so I opted for this and the pain is gone. It’s got a slight learning curve in using the track ball and mouse button at the same time to select areas for screen capture, but that will go away with experience. I’ve have no problem with bluetooth connection as a previous reviewer indicated. Too early to tell about the battery life.

This has saved my hand! – This has saved my hand! I work from home and I spend hours on the computer writing papers. I started having some numbness and muscle spasms in my hand. I was using a basic mouse from Staples and my apple keyboard. I ditched those items and upgraded for an ergonomically mouse with a ball. This is my first time using it and it takes a little bit to get used to but it made all the world a difference. All you do is use your thumb to move the ball that controls your cursor. My hand feels so much better. If you have hand cramps this is the perfect mouse for you.

    4. C. I (verified owner)

Great mouse – I had the earlier, non-Bluetooth version of this mouse for 12 years and would still be using it were it not for the convenience of Bluetooth connectivity and a new computer with a rotten trackpad. While the ball of the mouse does eventually become dirty with lint and finger oils, it can be easily popped from the orifice with a push of a pencil eraser and cleaned, then the orifice, which contains the pointing sensors, can be quickly and very gently wiped with an alcohol pad, followed by a tissue, concentrating on the pointing sensors to remove buildup that gets into them, and will restore its tight tracking. This is what the reviewer who complained of the mouse not tracking left to right should have done. The rollerball is an excellent size and very sensitive, as well as sensibly priced for its features. Two auxiliary keys and a center roller wheel add useful functionality.

Being using a Logitech trackball mouse for years – I’ve been using a Logitech trackball mouse for years. I use them at home and at work. Had to replacement my trackball at work as the left button started to have an issue with click and dragging. Pros: USB and Bluetooth. I recently left the USB receiver at home and had to switch to Bluetooth when I realize what I did as I was setting my laptop up at work one morning. Con: It is a little smaller than the previous model. But overall, I haven’t found a brand that can compete with Logitech on their trackball mouse.

Works well for those of us using split ergonomic keyboards! – I used a M570 for years and loved it. It eventually wore down over time and I had to replace it. Probably 6 years ago I decided to go with the MX Master. I stuck with those, and upgraded over the last several years to a Master 2s, and a Master 3. The Master 3 is a great mouse, and has some unique features that make it hard to part with. Namely, the scroll wheel, how it’s notched but can spin freely if you flick it (more on this later). I’ve been getting into more ergonomic keyboards for health reasons, and I’ve settled on a mechanical split ortholinear keyboard that allows for “tenting,” which means you can tilt the two halves up to match your natural wrist position. The problem is, since keeping the two keyboard halves around shoulder width is recommended, normal mice don’t work well in this scenario. You either have to move it to the middle, between the two halves, or leave it on the outside in which case you’re reaching farther to use your mouse. Both are not ideal and it counters the health benefits of using a split ortho keyboard in the first place.

Fully dealt with wrist pain – I bought this specifically for Minecraft (don’t judge me) because of the way that games played you do a lot of tiny movements while holding the left button down. With my old mouse, this would aggravate my carpal tunnel rapidly. This mouse basically ended that almost as soon as I got it. Thumb trackball took a bit to get used to but now it’s like second nature.

    8. A. M (verified owner)

Very good track ball. – I am trying hard to learn and with some success how to use a mouse/track ball. Is new to me. I have some degree of essential tremors or shaking which makes using the ball a bit more difficult. Isn’t a hardware problem but my problem. I find that holding my thumb against the housing as a brace, I can better manipulate the ball.
